Transferring Your Phone Number to Mangomint

After completing your phone call application, you can transfer (port) your phone number from another carrier to Mangomint if needed. During the transfer process, you can continue using your Mangomint number and the number you are transferring as you normally would.

Once your number is transferred to Mangomint, it will be used for:

Transferring your number to Mangomint will replace your current number in Mangomint. However, text message history will remain in your account and not be deleted.

To transfer your number to Mangomint, open the Settings app and go to Business Setup > Phone Numbers.

Select Port my phone number from the "..." menu. You will need certain information about the number you are transferring, including:

  • Current carrier

  • Account number

  • Recent billing statement. If your current carrier does not provide billing statements, you must upload a document or image that shows proof of account ownership. This document should include information such as the number you are transferring and your name and email address.

Once you’ve submitted your transfer request:

  • You will receive an email from the Twilio Onboarding Team (our carrier partner). This email will contain a link to a Letter of Authorization (LOA) that you must sign to complete your transfer request.

  • The Mangomint team will notify you when your transfer date is confirmed.

You can track the status of your transfer request by opening the Settings app and going to Business Setup > Phone Numbers > Manage settings.

Once your transfer request is complete:

  • Phone calls will be enabled for the number you transferred.

  • There may be a delay of up to three business days before text messages are enabled for the number you transferred. During this time, you can continue using your Mangomint number to send and receive text messages as you normally would.

After submitting a transfer request to port your number to Mangomint, you can cancel the request if needed. Transfer requests can only be canceled up to two business days before the confirmed transfer date.

To cancel a transfer request, select Cancel port request from the "..." menu. Once the transfer request is canceled, you can resubmit it if needed.
