With sliding scale service commission, the percentage depends on the amount sold. This allows you to set multiple percentages for the staff member based on different tiers.

With Zero-based, the percentage for the highest tier that the staff member reached will be applied to the entire service total for the payroll period.

Based on the tiers shown in the image above, if the staff member sold $4,000 during the payroll period, their commission would be 50% ($2,000).

Product commission is calculated as a percentage of product sales (after discounts). The default percentage will be used for all products sold by this staff member.

You can also set commission overrides for specific product categories and products. The system will use the most specific percentage available.

For example, in the image below, the Signature Shampoo is part of the Body care product category. Because it has a product-specific rate of 8%, the staff member will earn 8% commission instead of 12%. Any product that does not have a product category or product commission override will use the default percentage.
