    Client account balances do not expire. Clients have the flexibility to use their account balance at their convenience.

    To view a client’s account balance history, open the client details and select the Wallet tab. Select View history to view the client's account balance history.

    You can also view details about a client’s account balance history in the Client Account Balances reports.

    Are account balances visible to clients? Can clients use their account balance to pay in online booking?

    Client account balances are only visible to staff members. Clients cannot use their account balance to pay during online booking, Express Booking™, or Client Self Checkout.

    Client account balances are not location-specific—they can be used across all your locations.

    Can I use client account balances for IOUs so clients can pay later?

    To allow a client to pay later, you can charge their account balance to create a negative account balance. The next time the client begins a checkout, you will be able to see that they have a negative account balance that they need to pay. Clients can make a deposit into their account balance to pay their outstanding balance.

    How do I refund an account balance deposit?

    To refund an account balance deposit, you will need to refund the payment to the client and then manually decrease the account balance.

    To refund the payment to the client, locate the closed sale where the account balance deposit was completed.

    • For account balance deposits purchased with a credit card, you will need to complete a refund.

    • For account balance deposits purchased with cash or any other payment method, you will need to reverse the payment and then refund the client.

    After refunding the payment to the client, manually decrease their account balance to reflect the refunded amount.
